'It can hardly be argued the country is in a state of total welfare,' Nobakhat said in a ceremony, adding that the government is doing its best to lead the country towards positive ends.
Nobakht, also the head of Plan and Budget Organization cited a report by the International Monetary Fund on Iran's positive economic achievements, according to IRNA.
'The Islamic Republic of Iran, during the past three years, has managed to reach an economic growth of 6.5 percent from a negative growth rate of minus 6.5 percent,' Nobakht said.
'An inflation rate of over 40 percent has also been cut to fewer than ten percent,' he said.
