World hero sympathizes with Iran over fire incident

EghtesadOnline: The greatest Greco-Roman wrestler of all time, Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Karelin, released a condolence massage to sympathized with Iranian people over the fire incident which claimed lives of a number of civilians.

Head of Iran's Emergency Medical Services, Pir-Hossein Kolivand, said on Thursday that following collapse of the Plasco Trade Center many firefighters are feared dead.

The fire in Plasco Trade Center, which is one of the biggest in the Iranian capital, collapsed on Thursday morning as the fire started in the seventeen-storey business building in the early hours of Thursday, despite efforts by Tehran firefighters to stop it, according to IRNA.

A center for making apparel, the Plasco center soon was engulfed in a big fire that caused the collapse of a wall in the building's northern side and its final total collapse.

The message released in his personal page said: 'I wish you accept my sympathy which comes from the bottom of my heart.'

'I am very sad for demise of lots of people in Tehran fire incident,' it added.
Karelin noted, 'I wished I could help the firefighters, I will pray for them.'

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Karelin is a retired Greco-Roman wrestler for the Soviet Union and Russia and a Hero of the Russian Federation. He is considered the greatest Greco-Roman wrestler of all time.
