Lebanese speaker condoles with Iranians on Plasco collapse

EghtesadOnline: Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Saturday condoled with the Iranian government and nation over the deadly collapse of Plasco building, which killed and injured dozens of firefighters and civilians in Tehran on Thursday, January 19.

In separate messages to Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani and Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani, the Lebanese speaker condoled them on the martyrdom of a number of Iranian firefighters in the tragic incident.

Noting that he had been following up the reports on collapse of Plasco Trade Center in Tehran, Berri wished immediate recovery for the injured in the incident and prayed that those killed will rest in peace.

He wished that the Iranian nation will be so patient to endure the sorrow, according to IRNA.

The 17-storey Plasco Trade Center collapsed in Tehran on Thursday morning after firefighters failed to extinguish the fire in the building.

The Iranian government announced a day of mourning on Saturday.
