EghtesadOnline: Iranian parliament Speaker's special advisor on international affairs praised Astana meeting but warned against turning of “yesterday terrorists into today politicians” in any solution for the Syrian crisis.

“Kazakhstan efforts to solve Syrian crisis are so significant but in any solution, yesterday terrorists must not become today politicians,”Iranian parliament Speaker's special advisor on international affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a meeting with the Syrian ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud on Saturday.

“The results of political and parliamentary meetings between the officials of Iran and Syria have a great impact on improving coordination among all installations to support Syria in fighting against terrorists,” ISNA quoted him as saying.

“Astana meeting is a good opportunity to learn from Syrian people’s resistance against extremism,” Amir-Abdollahian stressed.

For his part, Adnan Mahmoud said: “groups which operate according to people’s wills and change their approach would be included in the national reconciliation process.”
