Iran-France relations boomed: Iranian ambassador to Paris

EghtesadOnline: Iranian ambassador to France Ali Ahani said, after a year of implementation of Iran nuclear accord, political negotiations between Tehran and Paris were expanded.

“Signing deals with Boeing and Airbus companies helped the removing of big companies’ concerns to cooperate with Iran,” he added.

“The first Airbus A321aircraft arrived in Iran and the second one will be delivered at the end of February,” Ahani mentioned. “In addition, the first production of Peugeot –Citroën and Iran Khodro will be available at the end of 2017.”

“The upcoming visit of France foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault to Iran in order to hold the first Iran-France joint economic commission will have important achievements. Following the implementation of JCPOA a new chapter opened in the bilateral relations,” ISNA quoted him as saying.

During the sanctions period purchasing of Iran’s oil by France stopped but recently it resumed by Total Oil and Gas Company. Since last March, this company buys 180 thousand barrel daily.

According to the MoU which signed between Total and Iranian side, it expected that the cooperation deal and Total investment in oil and gas areas will be finalized in the near future.
