Iranian ethnic groups, religious minorities golden opportunity: Minister

EghtesadOnline: Presence of different ethnic groups and religious minorities in Iran is a golden opportunity for the country and the Islamic Republic is proud of them, says Reza Salehi Amiri Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

“We insist on solidarity, brotherhood, sincerity, unity, unanimity and sympathy among all the Iranian people,” Salehi Amiri said during a dinner feast held Sunday on the occasion of the 38th anniversary celebration of the Islamic Revolution attended by followers of religious minorities, IRNA reported.

The Iranian ethnic groups and followers of the monotheist religions, form different beautiful spectra, in the same way different colors appear in a rainbow, he said.

“Every Iranian is a member of the nation and there is no discrimination in Iran,” he said.

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also said that Iran in the region enjoys the highest level of security and solidarity.

“While Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, as well as other areas in the region are engulfed in wars and conflicts, Iran remains to be the safest country in the region,” Salehi Amiri said.

“Iranian nationality, as well as a common historical, lingual and mythological background has united us together,” he said.
