According to IRNA, he made the remarks while speaking to reporters onthe sidelines of his presence in the Bahman 22nd rallies to mark the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The Islamic Revolution has been relying on the presence of people from its early days, Zarif said.
Referring to people resistance during the Sacred Defense era (the eight-year imposed war against Iran 1980-1988) and against the anti-Iran sanctions, the minister said that it was only the public presence that has led to the glory and prosperity of the Islamic Revolution.
Rallies marking the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution began across the country on Thursday morning. Over 6,000 reporters and cameramen form Iranian and foreign media covered the natioanl event.
