Iran cradle of monotheistic religions: President advisor

EghtesadOnline: Special Assistant to the President of Iran for Ethnic and Religious Minorities' Affairs Ali Younesi said on Sunday Iranians are proud to live in a country that is the cradle of monotheistic religions such as Islam and Zoroastrianism.

In a message to mark the birth anniversary of the Iranian prophet Ashur Zartosht, Younesi congratulated all Zoroastrians round the globe and the Iranians in particular, IRNA reported.

Iranian Zoroastrians throughout the history have spared no efforts to maintain the country’s festivities and help develop its culture, he said in the message.

There is no doubt that Norooz is a common heritage of all Iranians irrespective of the place they live in, he said.
