Ride-Hailing TAP30 Launched in Isfahan

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s second most popular ride-hailing service TAP30 has started services in the central tourist city of Isfahan.

The business has two rivals, Snapp and Carpino, none of them offering services outside the capital yet, Jamejam Online reported on Wednesday.

Tap30 is currently offering services in Tehran and Karaj. Isfahan, according to company officials, is the first city outside the sprawling capital in which it will expand its services, meanwhile other cities are also being considered.

The new move could further threaten the future of ride-hailing applications, Financial Tribune reported.

The old cabbies and traditional taxi companies have been protesting the rise of Snapp and Tap30, calling on the government to halt the operation of the two online businesses whose popularity has gained immensely in recent months due largely to their low prices.
