Iranian, Turkish deputy FMs discuss latest regional developments

EghtesadOnline: Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari held talks with his visiting Turkish counterpart Sedat Onal.

During the meeting, Jaberi Ansari and Sedat discussed the latest developments in the region and weighed plans for settling Syrian crisis.

They also talked about the peaceful manners of resolving the conflicts and tensions in the Middle East and North Africa, ISNA reported.

Both sides stressed on preserving national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the regional countries, ensuring the rights of followers of different religions and ethnicities, solving the current crises through political manners and efficient fighting terrorism.

These diplomats then called for regional dialogue to settle the problems, for supporting the Syria peace negotiations in the Kazakh city of Astana, and for closer interaction between Tehran and Ankara on the regional issues.
