"It is estimated that at present 600,000 people are employed in this sector. The official noted that 60,000 to 70,000 of the jobs planned to be created this year will be in the area of information technology alone, which includes software, content and game production as well as startups. "Iran's computer game market is valued at 8 trillion rials (about $214 million). Only between 8% and 10% of the domestic market demand is supplied by Iranian games and the rest is held by foreigners," Financial Tribune quoted him as saying.
