In an interview with Financial Tribune’s sister newspaper Donya-e Eqtesad, Milad Monshipour said the guild has disrupted Tap30’s operation by not issuing the required permits to the company. “Tap30 had applied for the permits long before its rivals. While they have received the license, Tap30 is still waiting,” he added. According to Monshipour, the delay has disrupted the company’s operations. Last week, Tap30’s offices in the city of Mashhad were shut down for not having proper documentation. Head of Mashhad Taxi Guild Mahdi Alavi said, “The business has not acquired the required permits to operate in Mashhad,” but later after protest it got permission. The company started offering services in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad, capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, three weeks ago, following a successful performance in Tehran and Karaj. Two other companies are already offering ride-hailing services in Mashhad, Cheetax and Touchsi, according to Financial Tribune.
