Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari met with Lebanon’s President Michel Aoun on Monday.
At the meeting, according to ISNA, Aoun received Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s invitation for an official visit, stating that he would travel to Tehran once diplomatic procedures are followed.
During the meeting both sides emphasized the need to develop bilateral ties between Tehran and Beirut.
