In the last ranking of the national beach soccer teams, Iran was placed second in the ranking for the first time.
So far, according to ISNA, none of the Iranian sport teams have been able to reach such a place on the world level. Iran national beach soccer was placed after Brazil and top of the teams like Portugal and Tahiti.
The rise of Iran to this place in the world rankings is followed its victory at the Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017, during which Iran’s team was placed third.
The top five teams in the world rankings are: Brazil (4,563 points), Iran (3,081 points), Portugal (3,063 points), Tahiti (2,631 points) and Russia (2,538 points).
