Tehran Stocks Make Strong Gains in Monday Trade

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index added 779.57 points or 0.81% on Monday compared to the day before to end trade at 97,120.8.

About 1.04 billion shares valued at $36.55 million changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Khuzestan Steel Company was the biggest riser, going up 5.06% to 5,459 rials per share, Financial Tribune reported.

Derakhshan Tehran Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies, as it went down 4.98% to 2,918 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Khuzestan Steel Company.

Mobile Telecommunications Company of Iran was the biggest laggard behind the benchmark's fall, followed by Bank Mellat and Iran Khodro Group.

The Price Index gained 247.26 points to close at 30,797.1.

The First Market Index was up 689.59 points to post 68,804.7. 

The Second Market Index added 950.24 points to reach 207,784.2.

The Industry Index gathered 871.45 points to register 87,053.

The Free Float Index scored 584.02 points to hit 103,386.88.

The TSE 30 was up 54.60 points to settle at 4,355.3, and the TSE 50 gained 48.02 to finish at 4,098.2.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 10.97 points or 1.01% to close Monday trade at 1,096.72.

About 245.4 million securities valued at $42.96 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares, as 35.72 million of its shares changed hands.

Zagros Petrochemical Company registered the highest trade value, with the trading of shares worth $4.20 million.

Rishmac Productive and Exports Company, Asia Zarin Madan Company and Kimia Zanjan Gostaran Mining Company registered the highest value increase.

Zagros Dairy and Meat Company, Zayandehrood Housing Investment Company and KBC suffered the biggest decline.

Marun Petrochemical Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Hormozgan Steel Company had the most positive impact on IFX.
