TSE Benchmark Sheds 771 Points in Sunday Trade

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 771.53 points or 0.81% on Sunday compared to the day before to end trade at 94,494.3.

About 552 million shares valued at $29.35 million changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Fibre Iran Company was the biggest riser, going up 4.99% to 3,811 rials per share, according to Financial Tribune.

Damavand Mining Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies, as it went down 4.94% to 12,305 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company was the biggest laggard behind the benchmark’s fall, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

Behshahr Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by North Drilling Company and Niroo Investment Company.

The Price Index lost 244.46 points to close at 29,941.6. The First Market Index was down 526.48 points to post66,888.7. The Second Market Index shed 1,754.95 points to reach 202,454.1. The Industry Index gave up 749.38 points to register 84,594.6. The Free Float Index lost 796.77 points to end at 100,535.32. The TSE 30 was down 48.81 points to settle at 4,201.5 and the TSE 50 dropped 38.70 to finish at 3,975.8.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 3.35 points or 0.31% to close Saturday trade at 1,067.11.

About 552 million securities valued at $29.35 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares and trade value, as 32.43 million of its shares worth $561,365 changed hands.

Zangan Zinc Industry Company, Behpak Industrial Company and Bahman Leasing Company registered the highest value increase.

Taban Hour Energy Management Company, Kerman Development and Construction Investment Company and Arfa Steel Company suffered the biggest decline.

Hormozgan Steel Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most positive impact on IFX.
