South Pars Phase 14 Drilling to End by March 2019

EghtesadOnline: Drilling operations of 22 wells in Phase 14 of South Pars Gas Field in the Persian Gulf are slated to be completed by the end of the current fiscal year (March 20, 2019), the managing director of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company said.

“To undertake drilling operations, CRA [corrosion resistant alloy] pipelines must be installed, which have been procured,” Abolqasem Rahmani was also quoted as saying by ILNA on Saturday. Rahmani added that following the end of drilling operations, the wells will be handed over to the contractor in charge of exploitation. In June 2010, the development of the phase, along with phases 13, 19, 21, 22 and 24, was handed over to a consortium made up of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran, as the leader, as well as Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex, Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company, Machine Sazi Arak and MAPNA.

According to the official, Phase 14 has two gas production lines with four platforms (14A and 14B as main platforms and 14C and 14D as satellite ones), which are due to go on stream simultaneously.  Rahmani noted that IOEC has provided all the equipment required by the project.  The phase is aimed at producing 56 million cubic meters per day of gas, 400 tons of sulfur, 2,800 tons of propane, 80,000 barrels of condensates and 2,550 tons of petrochemical feedstock, once fully operational, Financial Tribune reported.
