Oman to Offer an Exclusive Port for Iran Food Imports

EghtesadOnline: The government of the Sultanate of Oman has agreed to offer an exclusive port to small Iranian ships to help speed up the transportation of cargo, especially fruits and vegetables, the chairman of Iran-Oman Chamber of Commerce said.

Mohsen Zarrabi also said the joint construction of Oman’s export terminal in Kerman is underway.

“Two shipping routes between Iran and Oman are used by merchant vessels and we are aiming to open more of these trading routes,” ILNA quoted Zarrabi as saying.

The Omanis are implementing two major projects, namely a 230-square-meter shopping center with a $250 million investment in Kerman Province, and an export terminal between Kerman and Hormozgan, according to Financial Tribune.
