Iran-Made Shooter Game Zula Attracts Overseas Aficionados

EghtesadOnline: Iran-made multi-player first-person shooter game Zula is gradually gaining traction with foreign video game enthusiasts. As part of efforts to promote the game, Zula’s developer company has been holding gaming contests in Turkey.

In addition to Iranian gamers, players from Turkey and Poland participated in the latest round of the contest held in Ankara in late September, Mehr news reported.

The contest was dubbed Zula International Cup and hosted Zula player teams from all over the world, including Izako Boars and PENTA Esports from Poland, and Galatasaray eSpor, 1907 Fenerbahce, and Oyun Hizmetleri teams from Turkey as well as the Iranian team Brutal Impact.

Teams competed for $500,000 in prize money. Galatasaray eSpor teams from Turkey grabbed the top prize with 1907 Fenerbahçe and Izako Boars coming in second and the third, according to Financial Tribune.

The shooter game Zula developed by Tehran-based Sourena Game Studio with the assistance of local Internet service provider Shatel was introduced in February 2017. So far over 6 million gamers have been hooked on Zula.

The free-to-play game is a multiplayer first-person shooter which follows the example of classic titles like Counter Strike.

As is the case with Counter Strike, Zula can be played ‘solo’, however, most gamers prefer to play it in groups and normally online.

The game is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 and higher, and is available for free download on the game’s website zula.ir.
