Tehran Stock Exchange's Main Index Down on First Trading Day of Week

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 869.35 points or 0.47% on Saturday to end trading at 184,231.1.

About 4.11 billion shares valued at $76.29 million changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Fariman Sugar Co. was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 4,076 rials per share, Financial Tribune reported.

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.95% to 57,892 rials per share.

Bank Mellat contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, and Pars Petrochemical Co.

Omid Investment Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bank Saderat Iran, and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex.

The Price Index lost 253.10 points to close at 53,656.7.

The First Market Index was down 464.22 points to post 137,145.8. Second Market Index decreased by 2,584.26 points to reach 360,116.7.

The Industry Index went down by 871.16 points to register 167,499.8.Free Float Index was down 910.29 points to hit 194,180.62.

The TSE 30 went down 84.61 point to settle at 9,127.3 and the TSE 50 ended 47.04 points lower to finish at 8,143.3.

 

IFX Down 1.55%

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 31.38 points or 1.55% to close Saturday trade at 1,994.36.

About 808.42 million securities valued at $24.63 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares and trade value as 125.48 million of shares worth $2.35 million changed hands.

Ghaed Bassir Petrochemical Products Co., Saman Insurance, and Kowsar Insurance registered the highest value increase.

Lavan Oil Refining Co., Damavand Power Generation Company, and Ghadir Petrochemical Co. suffered the biggest decline.

Zagros Petrochemical Co, Marun Petrochemical Co., and Hormozgan Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
