Startup Trying to Expedite Banking Services

EghtesadOnline: A new smart banking queue management system has been designed by an Iranian startup that aims to make banking services a tad easier by allowing customers to “get in line” from anywhere at any time by using a smartphone application.

Via the app named Smart Bank Queue (yet to be released), customers enter their national ID number, the type of service they need and which branch they prefer to visit. The app notifies the bank branch and the teller prepares the required forms, IRNA reported.

According to the startup director, Ehsan Moradi, after the papers are prepared by the bank teller, the customer receives a message telling him/her when to approach the bank.

Through the app customers can also get queue tickets and receive real-time updates about their estimated waiting time, according to Financial Tribune.

To make the app more user-friendly the startup is working to add an option that lets users enter their ID number by scanning the barcode printed on their national ID card.

The Iranian startup has followed the example of global online businesses like Q-less and Qnomy, which through smartphone applications offer bank appointments.
