Iranian Startup Facilitates Building Construction

EghtesadOnline: A new startup has been launched in Tehran that makes building construction a tad easier by connecting landowners, project managers, engineers, and contractors through a user-friendly online platform.

Dubbed 'Sakhteman-yar' (which is loosely translated as builders’ friend), the startup through its smartphone application connects experts, engineers, raw material suppliers, and contractors, with landowners and project managers to facilitate construction work, local technology website Webna reported.

The application is available for Android and iOS devices on local app stores Cafe Bazaar and Sibapp.

Through the app, users can also have access to the latest prices of raw material plus costs of services by engineers, architectures, and workers, Financial Tribune reported.

Landowners, project managers or constructors planning to start a construction project can easily install the app on their smartphone and submit a request for services.

After opening an account on the application, users can place a request for services, outlining the type of work they want as well as time, place, and other relevant details.

The service providers review the requests and announce whether they can cooperate. Users then may choose among the suggestions and start the work.

Users can rate service providers and write comments on the quality of their work. This enables future applicants to choose more competent service providers. The startup also offers training courses and educational material.
