“The performance of the police force should be wise, completely reassuring to the people and trust-building,” the Leader said in a meeting with senior police commanders and staff in Tehran, his official website reported.
"Members of society constantly assess the activities of law enforcement units and their opinion about police would influence their overall view of the armed forces and the entire Islamic establishment," he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the efforts of police officers in maintaining law and order and providing better services to citizens, but said they should keep enhancing their skills, capabilities and preparedness to elevate their status, Financial Tribune reported.
Law enforcement forces should pursue a path of “constant improvement” in line with the values of Islamic Revolution and system, the Leader said in his speech.
