More than 2 billion shares valued at 5.59 trillion rials ($51.77 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Absal Household Appliances Company and ChinChin (a major food company) were the biggest winners as their shares went up 5% to 3,381 and 11,175 rials per share, respectively, Financial Tribune reported.
Sepahan Oil Company incurred the biggest losses among all TSE-listed companies and went down 7.62% to 26,467 rials per share.
Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by carmaker Saipa.
Pars Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Bank Mellat.
The Price Index gained 27.84 points to close at 46,919.7. First Market Index was up 102.98 points to post 118,913.0.
The Second Market Index increased by 34.89 points to reach 321,517.9. Industry Index went up by 156.55 points to register 145,026.3. Free Float Index gained 241.65 points to hit 175,222.93.
The TSE 30 went up 3.17 points to settle at 7,918.0 and the TSE 50 ended 3.19 points lower to finish at 6,960.0.
At the over-the-counter market, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 4.26 points or 0.23% to close Monday trade at 1,873.44.
Over 687 million shares and securities valued at $28.32 million were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
