More than 1.8 billion shares valued at 4.27 trillion rials ($39.93 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday and is also closed for national holidays.
Zagros Pharmed Pars Pharmaceuticals (a company affiliated to Social Security Investment Corporation) and Iran Carton Company were the biggest winners as their shares went up 5% to 10,319 and 16,898 rials per share, respectively, Financial Tribune reported.
Hegmatan Sugar Factory incurred the biggest losses among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 9,462 rials per share.
Isfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Jam Petrochemical Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
The Price Index gained 60.07 points to close at 46,832.6.
The First Market Index was up 90.02 points to post 118,784.0.
The Second Market Index increased by 725.05 points to reach 320,488.1.
The Industry Index went up by 287.17 points to register 143,896.2.
The Free Float Index gained 190.13 points to hit 175,693.36.
The TSE 30 went down 3.78 points to settle at 7,836.8 and the TSE 50 ended 13.59 points higher to finish at 6,913.7.
At the over-the-counter market, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 3.91 points or 0.21% to close Saturday trade at 1,871.58.
Over 626 million shares and securities valued at $26.59 million were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
