Tehran Stock Rally Continues

EghtesadOnline: After registering a whooping growth of 5,623 points on Monday, which drove the main benchmark of the Tehran Stock Exchange 2.69% higher, stocks continued the rally on Tuesday.

TSE’s main index TEDPIX gained 1,774.39 points or 0.83% on Tuesday to end trading at 216,642.0. 

More than 5.3 billion shares valued at 15.6 trillion rials ($110.14 million) changed hands for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday, Financial Tribune reported.

Chin Chin Agro-Industry Complex - a food producer -   was the biggest winner as its shares went up 8.31% to 18,369 rials per share. 

Dasht Morghab Company (one and one) incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 48,368 rials per share. 

Dasht Morghab Company is a manufacturer and exporter of canned food such as, jams, tomato paste, tuna fish, and so on. The company was founded in 1967 and is based in Iran. 

Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by JAM Petrochemical Company (JPC), MAPNA Group, and Ghadir Investment Company. 

Mobarakeh Steel Company is the largest steel maker of MENA (Middle East & Northern Africa) region, and one of the largest industrial complexes operating in Iran. 

.Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company contributed the most benchmark's fall followed by Persian Oil and Gas Development Group Co. (P.O.G.D.C) and Isfahan Oil Refining Company.

The Price Index gained 511.41 points (0.83%) to close at 62,435.2. 

First Market Index was up 1,166.62 points (0.72%) to post 162,797.6.

 Second Market Index increased by 4,184.55 points (1.02%) to reach 416,303.6.

The Industry Index went up by 1,625.78 points (0.84%) to register 195,439.8. Free Float Index was up 1,920.93 points to register 244,401.15.  

The TSE 30 went up 75.64 points (0.72%) to settle at 10,617.6 and the TSE 50 gained 69.92points (0.77%) lower to finish at 9,132.7. 

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX rose 0.72% to close Tuesday trade at 2,632.29 points. 

Over 1.75 billion securities valued at 7.13 trillion rials ($50.04 million) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
