In a visit to Temad Company on Sunday, Sattari unveiled five types of medicines and three types of pharmaceutical ingredients, IRNA reported.
Micropelt omeprazole, tamsulosin hydrochloride, naltrexone base, sitagliptin phosphate and pioglitazone, along with three types of pharmaceutical sugar-coating materials were introduced.
A number of the newly-developed medicines are for gastrointestinal uses, according to Financial Tribune.
Founded in 1997, Temad produces pharmaceutical raw materials, as well as narcotic and non-narcotic pharmaceutical products. Its product portfolio covers 60 products that have been already marketed and 50 products under development.
In the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2019), Temad Company earned over $8 million from the export of medical products to 43 countries.
Livestock Ultrasonography Device
A domestic technology firm has successfully developed a small and efficient ultrasonography device for livestock.
Based in Isfahan Province, Yekta Sanat Naji Company had manufactured a prototype two years ago.
Maryam Hojjati, the head of the company, describes the earlier sample as being bulky, ISNA reports.
"Thanks to the nonstop endeavors of electronic engineers, medical engineers, computer experts and veterinary physicians contributing to our project, the upgraded version is much smaller yet more accurate and efficient than the first model," she added.
The device works both with batteries and electricity power, has enough memory to save the captured ultrasound images, can analyze the images and could be connected to a printer or monitor.
The device helps livestock owners and vets scan and monitor the interior organs of animals, such as horses, cows, sheep and even cats.
Hojjati said the sonography device is useful for animal pregnancy diagnosis, fetus sex recognition, twin pregnancy recognition, cancerous cysts, uterine tumors and infections.
The company has also produced an ultrasonography device for humans, which is pending authentication from Iran's National Medical Device Directorate for mass production.
Hojjati noted that the development of a three-dimensional color doppler imaging device is on the company's agenda.
