Tehran Stock Exchange Rallies Close to 2,000 Points

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange rallied on Sunday for the fifth straight session with TSE's main index TEDPIX gaining 1,975.49 points, or 0.7%, to end trading session at 286,114.7.

About 3.94 billion shares valued at 14.97 trillion rials ($130.8 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Pars Switch Company (manufacturer of medium and high voltage circuit breakers and disconnectors) was the biggest winner as its shares went up 25.04% to 16,353 rials per share, according to Financial Tribune.

Tuka Transportation Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.52% to 16,810 rials per share.

Telecommunication Company of Iran contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, National Investment Company of Iran, and Parsian Bank.

Mapna Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industry Company, and Mobarakeh Steel Company.

 

 

IFX in Better Shape

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 9.82 points or 0.26% to close Sunday trade at 3,776.87.

About 1.31 billion securities valued at 9.37 trillion rials ($81.87 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares as 254.84 million of its shares worth 465.82 billion rials ($4.06 million) were traded.

Damavand Power Generation Company, Goharzamin Iron Ore Company and Ghasem Iran Company (a consumer products distribution industry) had the most negative impact on IFX.

Marun Petrochemical Complex gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Arfa Iron and Steel Company.
