Iranian Startups to Head for Baku

EghtesadOnline: The Vice Presidential Office for Science and Technology and Iran National Innovation Fund are planning to send an Iranian team of tech companies, startups and experts to Baku, the capital of neighboring Azerbaijan, from October 15 to 18, to expand tech ties.

According to the Vice Presidential Office's website, Isti.ir, the trip is aimed at observing the latest technological achievements in the host country, meeting heads of local tech companies and visiting Baku's science and technology parks.

The trip can help domestic tech firms forge ties with their counterparts, expand their tech market, absorb investments, gain experience in various fields and receive specialized training.

Iranian officials believe the visit will increase motivation among fledgling startups and knowledge-based companies to make further progress. By forging ties with regional countries, the firms' activities and growth opportunities can broaden, according to Financial Tribune.
