Tehran Stock Exchange Ends Trade 0.2% Higher

EghtesadOnline: The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange TEDPIX gained 625.55 points, or 0.21%, on Saturday to end trading at 305,622.48.

Investors traded an estimated 2.6 billion shares valued at 12.55 trillion rials ($106 million) for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Fars Cement Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 28.95% to 40,835 rials per share. Lamiran Razor Blade Manufacturing Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.63% to 28,230 rials per share, Financial Tribune reported.

Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company and  Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company. 

Pars Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), Iran Chemical Industrial Investment Company and Parsian Bank.

The Price Index gained 167.08 points, or 0.20%, to close at 81,876.3.

The First Market Index decreased by 300.68 points, or 0.14%, to post 220,486.3. Second Market Index increased by 4,672.68 points, or 0.75%, to reach 628,898.7.

The Industry Index rose by 582.63 points, or 0.21%, to register 273,792.6. The Free Float Index was up 831.4 points to hit 356,129.29.

TSE 30 decreased by 25.5 points to settle at 13,092.3 and the TSE 50 ended 5.49 points higher to finish at 11,885.4.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 4.74 points, or0.12%, to close Saturday trade at 3,954.84.

About 986.24 million securities valued at 20.54 trillion rials were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
