Tehran Stock Exchange Growth Continues Unabated

EghtesadOnline: Benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange gained more than 1% on Tuesday, extending its winning streak into 17th day.

TSE's main index TEDPIX added 3,642.41 points for the day to 339,434.4 as market was buoyed up by the inflow of fresh liquidity. 

TSE began the trading session on a visibly strong note, gaining more than 4,900 points in early hours of trade before retreating later. 

Market analysts ascribe the extended bullish trend in the stock market to fluctuations in the currency market, Financial Tribune reported.

Soaring forex prices tend to send positive signals that the value of export-oriented equities may rise further. 

About 5.77 billion shares valued at 27.093 trillion rials ($196.33 million) changed hands for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Fars Cement Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 9.71% to 67,237 rials per share.

Zagros Pharmed Pars Pharmaceuticals Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 18,469 rials per share.

MAPNA Group contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Khorasan Steel Company and Asan Pardakht Persian.

Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company, Ghadir Investment Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

The Price Index gained 975.62 points, or 1.08% to close at 90,917.4.

First Market Index increased 2,266.96 points, or 0.94% to post 244,479.0. Second Market Index increased by 9,122.88 points, or 1.32% to reach 700,278.9.

The Industry Index increased by 3,252.70 points or 1.08% to register 303,193.7. The Free Float Index was up 4,530.55 points to hit 401,320.69.

TSE 30 gained 184.92 points to settle at 14,366.2 and the TSE 50 ended 147.61 points higher to finish at 12,932.1.

 

IFX Up 0.9%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 40.9 points or 0.94% to close Tuesday trade at 4,391.97.

About 2.19 billion securities valued at 15.35 trillion rials ($111.27 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Jahrom Power Plant Development Company, Pars Paper Industrial Group Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Esfahan Steel Company, Goharzamin Iron Ore Company and Kowsar Insurance Company.
