Tehran Stocks Edge Up

EghtesadOnline: The Tehran Stock Exchange climbed 0.39% Sunday with its main gauge, TEDPIX, gaining 1,776.24 points to end trading session at 454,618.5.

Commodity stocks were the key drivers of the Sunday’s rally as shares of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, the biggest TSE listed company, alone contributed more than 1,000 points to the benchmark, according to Financial Tribune.

About 6.01 billion shares valued at 40.66 trillion rials ($301.18 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Alvand Tile Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 14.3% to 18,992 rials per share.

Iran Carbon Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 53,133 rials per share.

Bank Mellat contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Telecommunication Company of Iran, Bank Pasargad and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Khorasan Steel Company and Ghadir Investment Company.

The Price Index gained 474.02 points, or 0.39% to close at 121,315.0.

The First Market Index increased 328.14 points, or 0.10% to post 327,619.1. Second Market Index increased by 7,925.58 points, or 0.85% to reach 937,143.6.

The Industry Index increased by 1,999.97 points or 0.50% to register 404,841.0. Free Float Index was up 1,919.79 points to hit 549,647.38.

TSE 30 lost 18.37 points to settle at 18,748.7 and the TSE 50 ended 72.26 points higher to finish at 17,061.1.

 

 

IFX Up 0.2%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 11.67 points, or 0.2%, to close Sunday trade at 5,759.03.

About 2.8 billion securities valued at 22.71 trillion rials ($168.22 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares and trade value as 684.97 million of its shares worth 1.95 trillion rials ($14.45 million) were traded.

Damavand Power Generation Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Iran Office Machines Industries Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Goharzamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Fara Bourse, Pasargad Insurance Company and Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company.
