EghtesadOnline: Tehran’s stock market opened in negative territory on Monday but managed to regain some lost ground late in the session as the TEDPIX, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, closed 9,274 points higher, or 0.5%, to stay at 1,822,117.

The TSE’s equal-weighted index lost 3,519 points to end in red.

About 11.88 billion shares valued at 204.23 trillion rials ($877.95 mllion) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 99.38% to 22,450 rials per share.

Behshahr Industrial Development Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 7.01% to 25,350 rials per share.

Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Omid Investment Management Group Company, MAPNA Group and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company.

Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Social Security Investment Company.

 

IFX Down 0.26% 

IFX, the main index of the junior equity market Iran Fara Bourse, retreated 48.7 points, or 0.26%, to settle at 18,684.3 on Monday.  

More than 3 billion shares valued at 81.36 trillion rials ($353.75 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Hormozgan Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
