Small, Big Caps Rise in Unison

EghtesadOnline: The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 60,000 points on Monday to climb 3.2%, closing the trading session at 1,924,798 points.

Equal-weighted index rose by 2.25%, indicating that both small and large-cap equities gained. However, gain in large-caps outweighed others as seen in the 3.7% growth in the TSE-30 Index. The index track sshares of top 30 companies in terms of market capitalization.    

Inflow of fresh liquidity and repeated government support for the market are said to be the main drivers of the bull market. 

On Monday the bourse witnessed the inflow of 31.12 trillion rials ($130 million). The net retail trading value of both the TSE and the junior equity market Iran Fara Bourse was 248.56 trillion rials ($1 billion) for the day, which was 11.1% lower than the last session.

About 8.51 billion shares valued at 191.64 trillion rials ($833.23m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Radiator Iran Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 55.96% to 67,140 rials per share.

Behnoush Iran Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.78% to 107,510 rials per share.

TSE contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company, Iran Tractor Forging Company and Pakshoo Industrial Group Company.

Esfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Pars Khodro Company.

 

IFX Up 2.08%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 401.09 points, or 2.08%, to close Monday at 19,723.3.

About 3.03 billion securities valued at 69.57 trillion rials ($302.5m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Iran Fara Bourse, Day Bank, Alborz Distribution Company and Tukarail Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Esfahan Steel Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company.
