TCCIM to Hold Two Courses, One Workshop in Autumn

EghtesadOnline: The Education and Human Resources Institute, affiliated with the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, is scheduled to hold two specialized courses, one on export, and the other on key import factors, as well as an online workshop on negotiation techniques in autumn.

The first course titled “Comprehensive Course in Exports” is scheduled to be held on Sundays and Mondays from 3-7 p.m. beginning on Nov. 15.  Topics, including step-by-step export planning, how to advertise in different countries, how to design catalogues for products intended for exports, key points in brand registration, how to gather information on actual and potential customers in destination markets, how to take part and present products in international exhibitions in a cost-effective way, the news portal of TCCIM reported.

It will also cover ways of using export facilities, export to neighboring countries, accreditation processes for foreign companies (Chinese ones in particular), tariff rates, free trade zones, incoterms 2020 (the world’s essential trade terms), export project expenses, introduction to export contracts and documents, and products that need special export permits.  

The second specialized course titled "Comprehensive Course in Imports" is scheduled to run for four sessions and an overall of 16 hours starting Dec. 13. The course will be held on Sundays and Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m. Topics to be covered during this course include import documents, accreditation processes for foreign companies, introduction to LCs and international transportation conventions, how to calculate transportation costs, import order placement and receiving forex for imports. The course will be held both in class and online.

ITECC will also be holding a workshop titled “Negotiation Techniques and Principles” which is scheduled to be held on Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop will be held in collaboration with Iran-UAE Chamber of Commerce and have a special focus on how to negotiate with Emirati trade partners. 

Topics covered in this workshop include different types of negotiations, forwarding requests and demands in negotiations, negotiability of trade and project-based negotiation, among others. The workshop will be held online due to health reasons concerning the coronavirus pandemic.
