TEDPIX Jumps 3.7 Percent

EghtesadOnline: Tehran’s share market made gains on the last day of trading week Wednesday extending a winning streak into the sixth day.

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, climbed more than 3.7% and gained 48,354 points for the day, closing trade at 1,345,301. 

As expected, blue chips were dominant and pushed up the TSE-30 index 4.5%. The index tracks the performance of top 30 listed companies with largest market cap. 

The equal-weighted index was up by 1.76% indicating that the rally swept through both small and large caps. 

A total of 351 trackers improved on Wednesday, accounting for 72% of total listed companies. Retail trade was reported at 116 trillion rials ($450 million) with a net capital inflow worth more than 10 trillion rials ($38m), according to eghtesadnews. 

 

TSE Trade 

About 7.51 billion shares valued at 91.73 trillion rials ($352.83m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Iran Tire Manufacturing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 14.43% to 129,800 rials per share.

Saadi Tile Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 30.29% to 39,950 rials per share.

Pakshoo Industrial Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Saadi Tile Company, Shafa Darou Investment Company and Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Social Security Investment Company.

 

IFX Up 1.82%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 298.29 points or 1.82% to close Wednesday trade at 16,646.92.

About 2.97 billion securities valued at 165.81 trillion rials ($637.75m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day. Zangan Zinc Industry Company, Tabarok Industrial Group Company, Baghmisheh Urbanism Company and Zagros Kowsar Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Esfahan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saba Tamin Investment Company, Hormozgan Steel Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
