EghtesadOnline: Iran’s exports, excluding crude oil, from Shalamcheh and Chazzabeh border markets, located in Khuzestan Province, increased significantly during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022-Jan. 20), according to Behrouz Qarebeygi, a local official.

Exports from Shalamcheh stood at 1.8 million tons worth $338 million to register a 52% and 6% increase in weight and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

A total of 433,000 tons worth $105 million were exported from Chazzabeh, registering a 40% and 28% year-on-year rise in weight and value respectively, IRIB News reported.

“The most important exported goods to Iraq from these two border markets were agricultural products, ironware, construction materials, clinker, farmed seafood, consumer goods and dairy products,” Qarebeygi said.
