EghtesadOnline: Iran’s ‘The Salesman’ directed by Asghar Farhadi won two awards at the 69th Cannes International Film Festival.

According to ISNA, the film received the best screenplay and the best actor awards.

“I received the award due to supports of people, so I give it to them,” said Shahab Hosseini, who received the best actor award in the event.

“I am really happy and I really did not expect that the film (The Salesman) receives another award as well,” said Farhadi.

“My films are not comic, but I am happy that I could make some people happy by awards I received.”

“It is a good opportunity to appreciate the jury and director of the festival,” he said.

Farhadi won another award at Cannes International Film Festival last year with his “The Past”.
