Iran, Malaysia to cooperate in fight against drug trafficking

EghtesadOnline: Malaysian Police Inspector-General Khalid Abu Bakar and Deputy Chief of Iran's Anti-Narcotics Police General Morteza Mirzaei met here on Monday and discussed ways to expand cooperation to fight against drug trafficking and deployment of liaison officers in this concern in both countries.

According to IRNA, Deployment of liaison officers, exchange of information and training cooperation were among main topics of talks between the two senior police officers.

General Mirzaei is to discuss in details with Malaysian Anti-Narcotics Police Chief Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Sharif ways to fight drug trafficking on Tuesday meeting.

Meanwhile, more than 230 Iranian citizens are in prisons in Malaysia for different charges related to drugs.
