Italy to build highway in Iran

EghtesadOnline: Italian ANAS Company announced that it has signed a contract to build a highway 1,200 kilometers large in Iran.

The first phase of this highway, which is stretched 350 km, will be accomplished by 2022 and costs 600 million euros, ISNA reports.

This highway will connect Imam Khomeini Port, located alongside the Persian Gulf in southern Iran, to the border town of Bazargan northwest of the country.

This project which is a 1200km highway will cost 3.6 billion euros totally.

According to Reuters, the ANAS announced that the contract came after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in February, between this company and the Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development.
