Mehran border point non-oil exports up 80%

EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of Ilam Customs said that the value of non-oil exports from Mehran border had 80% growth in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (beginning on March 20) compared to the previous year.

Mohsen Mostafaie told IRNA on Saturday that non-oil exports value in Mehran border has been $485m since the current Iranian year. 

He added that the exported products weighed 578,000 tons which showed 4% fall compared to the previous Iranian year. 

He noted that exported products consisted of agricultural products namely watermelon and tomato, construction materials, cement, brick, plastic materials and steel artifacts.

Mehran international border is located 85 km south of Ilam and is an important point of exchanges between Iran and Iraq.
