EghtesadOnline: Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi ruled out buying second-hand reactors from Bulgaria for Bushehr power plant, saying that the issue is totally wrong because nuclear reactor is never second hand.

Of course, Bulgarians were scheduled to establish two nuclear power plants in their own country in cooperation with Russia but they stopped the project due to financial problems, Salehi said.

Therefore, the country is ready to sell certain new and unused equipment at a suitable price, he said, noting, 'We are currently studying the issue.'

Salehi also hoped that Russia would start operations to build two nuclear power plants in Bushehr this year.

The official also announced construction of a nuclear hospital in Iran in cooperation with the European states, adding that all financial measures regarding the project have earlier been taken.

Once completed, the hospital will be a unique project in Western Asia, he said.

Referring to selling heavy water to US, Salehi said that Iran first received its money and then delivered the goods.

Today, Salehi showed up in Majlis to explain issues of nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
