Iran, Japan reject report on postponing Abe’s Tehran visit

EghtesadOnline: Japanese embassy in Iran rejected news released by Kyodo News that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has postponed his visit to Iran scheduled for August.

“Mr. Abe’s visit to Iran is still on the agenda and will come in right time given the increasing process of bilateral cooperation (between Teheran and Tokyo),” said an informed official in Iranian embassy in Tokyo.

According to ISNA, he said that the date of the visit is almost scheduled for late August, but it has not been finalized yet.

Japanese embassy in Tehran rejected report on postponing the visit, and said, “Reports released by Japanese media on prime minister’s visit is not true, and no plan has been unveiled for postponing or not postponing the visit.”
