Thai Airways to boost flights to Iran

EghtesadOnline: Thai Airways opened bookings for a new direct route between Bangkok and Tehran, which will be inaugurated in autumn.

According to ISNA, from 1 October 2016, the Thai national airline will offer four flights a week between its base in Bangkok and Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport, operated by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft seating 30 passengers in Business Class and 262 in Economy; departures are scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 pm to arrive at 7:30 pm, the return flight leaving Iran at 9:00 pm to land the next day at 6:55 am. Thai Airways will compete directly on this road with Mahan Air (up to 6 weekly flights).

Iranian and Thai authorities announced an agreement last Monday on strengthening the number of flights between the two countries, from nine to thirteen weekly flights.
