Aliyev: Iran-Azerbaijan ties growing

EghtesadOnline: Azeri President Ilham Aliyev said on Sunday that Tehran-Baku relations are growing.

Aliyev made the remark after a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani.

Aliyev said that President Rouhani's visit to Baku will help boost trade and economic cooperation, reports IRNA.

President Aliyev said that his February visit to Iran and that of President Rouhani to Baku indicate that the two governments are willing to develop economic cooperation.

He said that he reviewed ample issues with President Hassan Rouhani, including political and economic ties. 
'There is common understanding between the two countries to expand our relations.'

Aliyev said since February many problems between Iran and Azerbaijan in economic, transportation and energy domains have been resolved.

'I am confident that after Iranian president's visit, bilateral relations will further expand.'

'I am so happy that you have come to the Republic of Azerbaijan along with a large delegation and relations between Baku and Tehran will expand successfully based on friendship and brotherhood.'

President Rouhani arrived in Baku on Sunday for a two-day visit and was welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev.
