S. Korea launches business support center to develop ties with Iran

EghtesadOnline: South Korean government has launched the 1st center to support merchants and businessmen to develop cooperation with Iranian economic institutions.

The center which has been opened in Seoul provides special facilities for merchants to make business exchanges with Iranian counterparts easier, according to IRNA. 

This center has been launched by Development, Trade and Investment Agency and is supported by Industrial Bank of Korea, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea. 

South Korea has always tried to boost ties with Iran and be ahead of other Asian rivals; its attempts increased in the wake of South Korea President Park Geun-hye trip to Iran in May.

Despite a fall in bilateral business as a result of imposed sanctions on Iran in 2015, the trade exchange volume between Iran and South Korea reached $6.1b of which Iran's exports to Korea was $2.3b and Iran's import from this country $3.7b.
