“The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of South Korea’s reputable trade partners in the Middle East region and the world and the expansion of economic-trade ties with this country is one prioritized goals of the South Korean government,” Kim said, addressing a meeting with economic activists in Arak city in Central Iran on Tuesday.
According to IRNA, he underscored that his country considers Iran not as (only) a market to sell its products or services, but as a partner to share economic and industrial experiences.
“South Korea has had very good political relations with Iran since a long time ago and such good relations should pave the way for further cooperation in trade and economic sectors,” the South Korean envoy added.
“Over 97 percent of Iran-South Korea ties have been in the field of oil purchases and three percent in the field of buying mobile phones and automobiles,” Kim went on to say.
