Brigadier General Zafer Nazmi said the terrorist group aimed at confronting the Shiite world.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the border commander of Iran’s Kermanshah province Brigadier General Lotfali Pakbaz which took place in Khanaqin Tuesday, reports IRNA.
The Iraqi official also said Iraq is taking benefit from the security along borders with Iran to mobilize its efforts to target the Takfiri group of Daesh.
He said the joint borderline between the two countries enjoyed full security.
The two officials signed an agreement in 10 articles on border cooperation.
