UN O’Brien stresses transferring Iran’s N. defense experiences to other countries

EghtesadOnline: Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Stephen O'Brien said that the he is pursuing transfer of Iran’s nuclear defense experiences to other countries.

“It is important for us to share Iran’s experiences in nuclear defense with other countries which are enjoying the facilities,’ he said in a meeting with Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization Ghola-Reza Jalali here in Tehran.

“I have already heard that you are worried about dangers of nuclear facilities surrounding Iran and it is important for us to transfer your experiences on nuclear defense to other countries with such facilities. Of course, we are keen to use your experiences on border activities to help Iraqi people,” he said.

He also said hailed Iran’s rich experiences in crisis management and said at the moment 80 percent of crises we are witnessing in the world are crises made by human being, reports ISNA.

He said that $21 billion is needed to help 90 million people affected by human-made crises.
