EghtesadOnline: Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Coordinating Committe held its last session before Venezuela Summit at the United Nations Headquarter in New York on Thursday.

Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Gholamali Khoushro presided the meeting which was held in ambassadors level of the member states, reports IRNA.

In the meeting, the draft of a final document was confirmed and the last coordination was done for the summit meeting of NAM in Venezuela.

Venezuela will take presidency of NAM next week.

Members of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) insisted adding ASEAN foreign ministers meeting statement as an annex to the final document to be presented by the rotating chairman of NAM to the Venezuela Summit, but a group of NAM members opposed it since it had not been negotiated before.

The participants agreed that Iran, as the rotating chairman of the group, presents ASEAN member states proposal to the expert meeting in Venezuela to be discussed.

In the 4-hour session, issues such as reports of committees and working groups and the draft of final document of the Summit were confirmed and got ready to be sent to the Venezuela Summit meeting.

The 194-page draft includes an introductory, three chapters and 907 articles which explain NAM stances on different international and regional issues.
